Pinhole Photography Workshop
08th September 2019
Alastair arrived for the workshop prompt and early, we had a lot of work to cover in the next few hours.
Alistair was getting disappointing results from his previous attempts with his own Pinhole camera and needed guidance on exposure techniques, composition, scanning and how to edit to create mood and feeling into the picture.
The Pinhole Photography workshop provided him with expertise in exposure, and composition, he used my own Zero2000 Pinhole camera, he was also shown the benefits of using black and white filters such as Orange and Yellow.
The Pinhole Photography workshop also gave him a greater understanding of how to deal with long exposures and the effect of film reciprocity failure.
Under my supervision, Alastair took the picture, developed the roll of 120 roll film, scanned the file and edited in Photoshop, the resultant image was printed on Epson Cold Press Bright Fine Art Paper.

Dear Martin
Thank you so very much for being such an excellent host and guide. It’s been a real pleasure to meet you and spend the day with you by learning and asking questions and by the practical. I’m thrilled with the print and looking forward to scanning my negs, using your methods, and being able to use my pinhole camera at last. (I think I left the plastic wallet for it with you!). I also feel 100% more confident metering for my pictures. Great idea to find a project - which will really help focus me. Living in the country and working in the city might mean separate projects.
Please thank your wife for the food and let her know it was a pleasure to meet her too:)
